2001 Multi-skilled programme maker, Moving Vision Ltd. Camera operator/ director on an expedition which climbed 6,952m Mount Aconcagua, Argentina (shown on the ‘National Geographic Channel’ and ‘Adventure One’). I filmed all aspects of the challenging trip including reaching the summit. Freelance camera operator for BBC news programmes. Development of documentary ideas. Instructor on miniDV camera courses.
1999-2001 ‘Multi-skilled programme maker’, Meridian Broadcasting. On-line and off-line Avid editor, lighting cameraman, director, producer, sound recordist & researcher. Programmes filmed, produced, directed and edited include ‘Screentime’, a 1/2 hour series reviewing film releases, & ‘Cyber Café’, a ½ hour series about the internet, recorded “as live on location”.
August 2000 Assistant Producer, researcher and interviewer on a half hour ‘Current Affairs’ documentary, ‘Rough Justice’. The Meridian Focus programme was about the vigilante groups demonstrating against paedophiles in Portsmouth.
July 2000 Camera operator for Meridian series ‘Looking for Love’.
May 2000 I filmed exclusive footage of an ex-SAS commander preparing for his attempt to kayak solo across the North Atlantic. The shots and interview were sold worldwide.
June 2000 Filming deprived children in Brazil for a Channel 4 documentary pilot. In Sao Paulo, I was the main cameraperson filming the children in a dance group and in their shanty town homes. For Freehand Productions Ltd.
1997-1999 On-screen Video Journalist, Channel Television, Jersey, British Isles. Senior Reporter and Environment Correspondent on Local News Programme, “Channel Report”. Script writing, researching, producing & voicing news reports and features. Presenting the lunchtime news. Live interviews & 2-ways. Presenter and interviewer on live outside broadcasts.
Nov 1998 I filmed, directed, produced and wrote the script for a half-hour documentary about an Aid Trip to Ecuador. The programme received a 40% audience share.
1997 Researcher & Photographer, States of Jersey Environmental Services Unit. I produced a report about geomorphological change in St Ouen’s Bay, Jersey
First Aid at Work Qualified. I passed the four day Red Cross Course in March 2000.

Sea Kayaking – I am qualified to lead sea kayaking expeditions all over the world (under the BCU Five star award)

Sport – I have always been very sporty, competing in many different teams at school and university. At Cambridge University, I won nine Cambridge Blue’s – 3 for Hockey, 3 for athletics, a half blue for skiing, & two half blues for rugby. In 1995, I represented England in the unbeaten English Universities Hockey Team. In 1996 I was president of “the Ospreys”; the Cambridge organisation for University Sportswomen. At school I competed in the National Cross country championships and placed 14th in the National heptathalon. I was the independent schools Javelin throwing champion two years running.
Surf Kayaking - In 2001 I represented England in the World Surf Kayak Championships. We came fourth.
Expeditions – I have taken part in, organised and filmed many expeditions. See “Expeditions” section of website for details.
Travelling – Travelling is always an adventure. Favourite experiences range from an 8 month round-the-world trip after university, to a cold solo journey through Poland in the Winter.
