PostHeaderIcon Back In Queen Charlotte City

WE made it around Graham Island!! we landed on a beach in Queen Charlotte City about 7pm tonight. We’re all feeling pretty exhausted to be honest after quite a few long days on the water – 28 nautical miles today, including 3 mile battle up the ‘East Narrows’ against a 4-5 knot current. We could eddy hop most of it but it took time and energy. I’ll write more tomorrow, for now the priorities are a hot shower and a meal out in a restaurant……. I’m sure you understand!!

CONGRATS Justine Shawna and Leon, you are such an inspiration to us all, living the dream is tough to do and I’m happy to see those who accomplish it! I’m glad to see shawna is paddling the same kayak used in classes! Good luck!

good effort Justine. The next leg will be even better – enjoy the hot springs on the east. And I hope you’re heading for Puffin Cove? Jim

Hi gang! Glad to see you made it to QCC in 1 piece. We had a great “Tarp-free” expedition ourselves from Kat Island just north of Burnaby Narrows, down to Ninstints, and then back to Raspberry Cove in the Houston Stewart. I am back in PG, getting organized for the next stint. Will be back in QCI 26Jul07, and in the south end of the park 28Jul-04Aug. Maybe we’ll run into you on the water.
