Wintry weather
Day 31, Day 6 from Punta Arenas – Monday 20 February.
6.16am: It’s a cold and drizzly morning and windier today. We didn’t need to move the tent in the night but Barry was up every 45 minutes until 3am to check the water level.
2.41pm: s54.24.97 w71.50.03. The headwind came and went. The temperature is down to 3 degrees celcius and there is hail on the water. This is summer! We have found a good camp site this time on a small grassy triangle, above high tide, we hope.
Hi you two…glad to see you’re still making steady progress , though it seems like you’re having to work around the headwinds a bit. Sounds like the scenery is pretty impressive…I’m not sure what the temperatures are up to at the moment…it’s forecasting a possible 18’c in the SE of England tomorrow and it’s Feb !Then you’re down there in the summer zone with 3’c…!?
Love and hugs from the Bardsey gang. xx
