In May 2016, Justine will attempt to kayak around Vancouver island. This will be her first solo trip since kayaking around Iceland’s West Fjords in August 2002. Hopefully she has learnt quite a lot since then, without being too cocky or complacent.

She’ll have a SPOT tracker and will send her position every day on a map which will hopefully be displayed here.

Starting around 28th April from Orcas island in America, she’ll cross to Canada’s Gulf Islands and head anti-clockwise about 750 miles around Vancouver island. She has until about 31st May before flying home on 1st June, so hopefully the weather will be good enough to allow her to complete the circuit.
